Meet the PFA committee

I have been a resident of the local community for 14 years and bring over 23 years of experience working in social housing. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders, including the police, charities, and community organisations, to promote community cohesion and achieve positive outcomes for residents. I have also worked closely with many diverse families, giving me a strong understanding of the different needs, challenges, and opportunities within our community.

As Chair of the Parents and Friends Association at Nene Park Academy, I am passionate about creating equal opportunities for all children and supporting pupils to thrive both socially and academically. I strongly believe in the importance of opportunity during the early years and the lasting impact that a positive school experience can have on a child’s future.

Having had a child at the school from Years 7 to 11, I have first-hand experience of the school journey and a clear understanding of what is needed to support young people to succeed. I am committed to ensuring that every child has access to the opportunities they need within a supportive, inclusive environment, enabling them to reach their full potential.

I’m Funmi, a parent and the Vice Chair of NPA’s Parents & Friends Association (PFA). I became involved with the PFA because I strongly believe in actively supporting my children’s school community and contributing wherever I can make a positive impact. With a professional background in IT delivery, I bring strong organisational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to support the committee in delivering meaningful initiatives for parents, students, and the wider school community.

I’m Anne-Rose and I’m a parent, organisational change and transformation consultant, and Safeguarding Parent Governor at a local Peterborough school. My professional background centres on governance and helping organisations build systems and relationships that work better in practice.

I wanted to get involved in the PFA because I believe strong partnerships between schools and families have a direct impact on children’s wellbeing, confidence, and overall school experience. Parents and carers bring valuable perspectives, skills, and ideas, and I wanted to help support the development of a PFA that is organised, inclusive, transparent, and accessible to the wider school community.

My areas of interest include parent engagement, safeguarding, communication, inclusion, and community partnership. I’m particularly interested in helping strengthen trust and collaboration between families and the school, while creating more opportunities for parents and carers to feel informed, involved, and connected to school life.

Hi, my name is Penni and my role is Events Lead.

I am passionate about planning events, very organised and enjoy watching an idea come to life. Who doesn’t love a good party!

In my spare time I enjoy theatre, dancing and singing with my choir and spending time with my children, family and friends.

I am looking forward to starting in the role and encouraging the children to put their ideas and input forward to help create lots of exciting events for everyone to enjoy.
