NPA Admission Policy and Admissions Arrangements for 2027/28

The pupil admission number (PAN) for Nene Park Academy is 240.

Applications for entry to secondary school starting in September 2027 can be made from 12th September 2026 until 31st October 2026.

The easiest way for parents to apply for a school place is online. Go to www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/schools-and-education/school-admissions/starting-secondary-school-in-year-7 and follow the instructions on screen. You can apply using a mobile phone or tablet. If you do not have internet access at home you can still apply online at your local library or at council offices. The council’s school admissions website also gives you access to the Secondary Admissions Booklet (Transferring to Secondary School in Peterborough City). Applications must be made by a parent or carer who holds legal parental responsibility for a child. Only one application should be made per child.

Any applications received after the closing date of 31st October 2026 are treated as late and are dealt with after those received on time. Offers will be made to those who applied on time on National Offer Day, 1st March 2027. Applicants that applied online can log onto the council’s website from 00:01 am on the morning of 1st March 2027 to see which school their child has been offered. Any parent that applies on a paper application will have their letters posted 2nd class on 1st March 2027.

The final deadline date is 28th March 2027 for parents to either accept or refuse the school place offered. If the parent does not reply, the offer will be withdrawn.

Late applications are added to a waiting list and come into force on the 2nd March 2027. Please note, late applications are ranked according to our oversubscription criteria and not the date of application.

Please ensure that you are familiar with our oversubscription criteria by clicking on the link to our 2027/28 Admissions Arrangements at the top of this page. You can see a map of Nene Park Academy’s catchment area by clicking on the link to NPA Catchment Boundary Inc. Elton at the bottom of this page.

In the event that applications to Nene Park Academy exceed 240, places are allocated based on oversubscription criteria including SEN, catchment area, and siblings, details of which can be found in the Admissions Policy document (above).
