Dear Parents/Carer 2nd November 2018
I am delighted to offer your son /daughter the opportunity to participate to a trip to Cambridge University. The trip will comprise a short tour of the University and then will also include a short talk by University staff to allow students to understand the opportunities available for them if they obtain a degree. The rest of the afternoon will be spent exploring the city of Cambridge.
The coach will depart NPA at 8.30 am on Monday the 26th November and depart Cambridge at 4pm. Estimated time of arrival to NPA school is 5 pm. We advise students to bring a pack lunch or money for lunch. School uniform will not be required for this visit but we do require students to dress appropriately given that the students will be visiting a university and representing their school.
The cost of the trip will be £10.00 but current legislation permits us to ask only for voluntary payment, no pupil will be discriminated against on the grounds of inability to pay, but if you are unable to make this voluntary payment then you should write, in confidence, to the Principal to request financial assistance. However, this trip is an extracurricular activity not in school hours, therefore financial assistance will only be considered by the Principal in extenuating circumstances. If sufficient money is not raised by voluntary contributions, then the visit will have to be cancelled.
If you wish your son daughter /son to participate to the trip please sign and return the permission slip to the finance office along with payment by Friday the 9th November. Alternatively, you can respond by e-mail authorizing this trip and pay via our parent-pay system.
Priority for this trip will be given to students studying a Language and any students who have displayed poor behaviour at NPA will not be offered a place on the trip.
I give permission for my son /daughter (include name ) ………………..…………to take part in the trip to Cambridge University on the 26th November
