It is my privilege to be the first Principal of the Nene Park Academy and to share our vision and commitment to establish the academy as the school of first choice, and a source of pride, for our community.

It is with great sadness that we report that Joan Hill, NPA Governor and Peterborough United employee, passed away during the late hours of Monday evening, 20 May 2013, after a long battle with cancer.

Martin’s funeral will take place at 2:00pm on Friday 24th May 2013 in Peterborough at the Cathedral.

Students from Nene Park Academy’s Winston House were delighted to be able to present Julie Laithwaite from Sue Ryder Care – Thorpe Hall Hospice with a cheque for £548.35, which was raised by the students as part of their House charity activities.

It is with great sadness that we report that Mr Martin Bacon, who was Principal of Swavesey Village College from January 2003 and CMAT's Executive Principal, has died after a long illness at the Sue Ryder Hospice, Thorpe Hall, Peterborough at 5am on 13th May 2013.
A group of Year 8 students became real-life engineers yesterday as they researched, designed and built solutions to real engineering problems as part of the Faraday Challenge Day.
