NPA Remembers The Fallen At Its Annual Remembrance Service

Earlier today, the staff and students of NPA stood is respectful silence in memory of those who have fallen in the line of duty.

The Remembrance Service was lead by the Principal, Mr Steve Howard, and was supported by the school's CCF contingent, who marched in formation into the Courtyard where the whole school was waiting quietly. English teacher, Mrs Elaine Chambers, played the Last Post as the  school stood silently and motionless for the one minutes' silence.

The Deputy Head Boy, Jonathan Talbot, read out the names of the former staff and students of the school and its predecessor schools, who selflessly gave their lives in the service of our country in the conflicts since 1914, and poems were read out by a CCF cadet; The Head Girl, Lauren Smith and Head of Sixth Form, Mr Giles Fullard.

This year, for the first time, Student Leaders from each of the 5 Houses were also able to present a poppy wreath at the front of the stage to mark this sombre occasion.
