NPA's Reading Festival - March 2017
Last week's Reading Festival went off with a real swing as staff and students joined in with a range of activities all aimed at encouraging our students to pick up a book and read.
Activities included teachers displaying their favourite 10 best reads; a 'Guess' Who?' competition with staff hiding behind their favourite book; staff dressing up as a character from a book; students taking part in a Spelling Bee competition and all students and staff taking part in the 'Drop Everything and Read' (DEAR) initiative where whole-school reading took place for 10 minutes each day.
The Reading Festival was a great success and we hope that our students will continue to appreciate the merits of reading and contiue to pick up a book and simply enjoy reading.
